How to update email signature for Outlook clients outside the network

You can change the FQDN used in the installers from internal to external by using a Microsoft utility called Orca. This utility can be downloaded from the following location: http://www.softpedia.com/dyn-postdownload.php?p=79861&t=4&i=1

After installing the utility do the following:

  1. Open Orca and go to Files > Open and select the Policy Patrol Signatures Outlook Add-in or Policy Patrol Signatures Outlook client (NET) msi file from the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Red Earth Software\Policy Patrol Signatures\Redist on the Policy Patrol Signatures Server.
  2. Select Property in the Tables column. In the right-hand pane you will see a number of properties and their values.
  3. Locate the property WEBSERVICE_URL. Change the value to your internal server name.
  4. Go to File > Save to save the msi package

Note: Your internal server must be accessible from outside network.

You can now distribute this package to those users that access the Policy Patrol Signatures Server from outside the internal network.

Applies to:

Policy Patrol Signatures for Office 365
